I have a 3 year old daughter...?

I have a daughter that will be 3 in November. She was off the py before a year old. Then my grandma and mom started giving them to her. She constantly has one in her mouth! I hate that she is almost 3 and craves a py a.k.a. "pow pow". What is a good way to break them of this. Also, she is not fully potty trained yet. Sometimes she just goes to the bathroom, and other times she goes in her pull up. I tried letting her wear underwear, and she likes them. It seemed like she went to the potty more with the underwear on instead of the pull up, but she has ended up going in the underwear...not fun when I have newly shampooed carpets and a new couch :) any ideas of how to fix these problems?
