What do people have against wearing PJ pants in public?

I guess it is the fact that they are supposed to be to sleep in. I just think they look sloppy. BUT, they certainly look better than some of the really, really tight clothes! I don't see why you couldn't have worn them for PJ day, though. Most schools won't let students wear them any other time. I wear sweats all the time. I don't see much difference.
