Since gays and s are more accepted than ever in Hollywood...?

Most recently David Ogden Stiers (Mash), Dan Butler, David Hyde Pierce (Frasier) Suzie Ormon (financial wizard) Sara Gilbert (Rosanne) to name a few; why is there still fears for more to come out? Granted it's up to them to disclose, but is there still such a celluloid closet of discrimination? I.E. Kevin Spacey- everyone knows he's gay but won't say so. The only reason I wish more would, would be for more non-out gay youth to know that it's okay to be gay and nothing to be ashamed of. Look at Ellen or Rosie, their breakthrough has not hindered their success. Look at this years Tony awards- the most viewed ever.....who were the big stars? Elton John and host Neil Patrick Harris. It's really up to the celebs as role models for gay youth. So... why don't more celebrities do more for others to accept themselves?
