Texas debates: teaching creationism in school?

I couldn't agree more. Parents can teach their children what they want outside of the school, but forcing a government run organization to cater to the unscientific wishes of parents is silly. The US rates very low in science curriculum among developed nations in part because of our vitriolic resistance to teaching evolution and allowing our school curriculum to be politicized.
